So I recently went on a long journey and had to fly with the Lemming helmet. I was successful with bringing my helmet on the trip through my checked luggage, but it takes up a lot of space and I just hate the fact that I have to trust its safety to the airlines. I travel way too much to be doing this or to constantly send it to myself through the mail as has been suggested by some. Well, I got this creative itch after getting back and built me a new Travel Lemming. It only took a few nights and was made with nearly the same process as my original helmet. Also, I figured that since I have to do a few modifications and rewire the Lemming up anyway, I’d just build one now for my next trip and transfer some diodes to my new device. That way I won’t have to rush the mods on my helmet just so I can get back to my laser treatments.

The design is pretty cool and I am excited about the pattern of it. I wanted something that would be used three times, cover all my thinning areas without overlapping, and also run in a strip down the length of my head. It has a 76 diode formed mesh (gutter guard spacing), and it will be very interesting to see if I actually get sore from this like OverMachoGrande and Jdp710 did with their 3 zone treatment helmets.

The whole intent of this design is to be able to put it into my carry-on bag with ease (yes, I’ll try it), be rugged enough to withstand the rigors of air travel, and to continue to offer quality laser treatments while I’m away. Wish me luck…
